Based on the persona leadership self-assessment results, I scored lowest in the “inspire a shared vision” and highest on “challenge the process.” Vision is an essential aspect of leadership because it provides a clear orientation and vital purpose in practice. Developing the ability to inspire a shared vision provides the direction for change, and it helps to motivate individuals and focuses on the energies of all team members. Vision helps leaders and team members to stay on track and to set priorities properly (Martin et al., 2014). Developing my ability to inspire a shared vision will allow me to engage towards the same goal with my team members in the transformation of practice. Having shared values and defined goals in practice help to engage all stakeholders and set precise values and beliefs to guarantee a great focus and targeted outcomes. Leaders need to be visionary in doing practice development works. It helps leaders properly evaluate all project needs to judge the effects of practice change and not rely on anecdotal evidence.
