1) An interest in sports PR is an exciting area of the industry! Career opportunities include serving as an individual athlete's publicist (helping book media interviews for their various projects and athletic games, helping come up with social media messages and content for their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages, helping draft statements and quotes, helping conduct media training, etc), serving as an in-house PR person for a team handling all of their communications, or working at an agency servicing sports-related clients. Generally, this would fall under the category of entertainment/sports.
