Module 4 :- 300 words with 3 references and 2 Responses
Students are to observe two or more adults unknown to the observer. The student must not be able to hear the subjects being observed and those being observed must not be wearing a uniform of any kind as this would provide information about their occupation to the observer. Students must describe the environment and the people being observed, i.e., age, gender, dress, etc.
Discuss nonverbal communication, i.e. eye contact, body position, and any other nonverbal behavior. Because everyone is still dealing with the COVID-19 situation, describe the effect social distancing and facemasks have had on these interactions. Provide your interpretation of the relationship between those being observed. Be very discrete and do not have a conversation with those being observed.
Module 4 Responses needed for the below discussions Response1:
Verbal communication is one of the basic forms people used to have a chat with each other. In this pandemic because of COVID, some people are facing a lot of challenges and the others have adapted this new change. There is a lot a person can gather about the other person while having a verbal dialogue with them. Having to wear a mask makes it difficult to understand what the other person is saying sometimes but it is the only way to slow down the spread of the virus.
The other day I was out and about in my apartment complex when I saw this couple, who was in their mid-twenties, wearing casual clothes in the sitting area near the pool. I believe they were students. They both were not wearing masks and just hanging out with their laptops and some food and drinks. I was just walking there when I overheard them talking about the cancellation of their trip because of COVID. They were upset about the whole situation, from what I could gather from their facial expression and body language. Soon, there came a member from the office and asked them to wear a facemask as other people approached near the pool. I feel that it should be a mandatory thing to wear a mask once you step out of your house.
Non-verbal communication includes some of the most basic etiquettes like eye contact, voice tone, posture, body language, and facial expressions. I feel that having a good posture is very important to make a good impression on the other person. Social distancing and wearing a mask has definitely been one of the major steps in lowering the spread of the pandemic but a lot of people have been affected mentally because of the same, staying isolated has not been the best time for them. On the other hand, many other people are coping well with this new world, being more active on social media and enjoy interacting virtually with friends, colleagues, and family even having parties online. Personally, for me, it has been a time to focus on my health and get in touch with old friends and I also believe having a positive mindset will not make you feel low even when the situation is not the best.

Response2:
Social distancing is an attempt to stop the coronavirus from spreading to big conferences, movie runners, weddings and premieres. Schools, shopping malls and cinemas are now closed throughout the country in order to give effect to the importance of social distance. Encourage people to work remotely and interact with others. Best practices for controlling infections like COVID-19 are not easy to follow, keep a two-foot-long, open mask, and if you are a health worker, you use a shield to protect your eyes. As for social distance, the analysis previously increased the risk of people under 1 m (3FT) and less than 1 m. The farther i am from each other, the less riskie I am. In fact, the risk will be halved to every increase of 3 metres.
Nonverbal communication is a system that contains many features that often work together with sound and space, clothing and sustainability, from gestures and facial expressions. The combination of these characteristics is often the subconscious choice of local speakers, but for them, it is an obstacle to natural communication and misunderstanding. Listen, watch, move, react to someone's concerns, and if they're honest, it tells you how well they listen. When these non-verbal signals match the spoken language, they increase confidence, clarity, and relationships. When they don't, they create tension, doubt, and confusion. You know how to move your hand in a specific way, stretch your fingers, or just look safe or dominant. But the truth is, it won't work until it really feels. Because one can't control all the constant signals about their true thoughts and feelings. He tried more than once many unnatural signals may be receptors. The chapters of this book discuss the importance of non-verbal communication. Nonverbal communication is a process that requires rapid ergonomic concentration and attention. If a person plans what he next says and thinks about daydreaming or anything else, nonverbal queues and other forms of conversation are missed. You need to concentrate to fully understand what is happening. If someone wants to be a better communicator, it's important, not only about body language and nonverbal instructions, but also about themselves(Beattie, G. W. (2018)).
