Principles of Marketing Module 3 SLP
The message captured while marketing a product determines the attitude and feelings that consumers would have. The news should be clear, precise, and direct to enable consumers to understand what the business is communicating to them correctly and influence consumers to make a purchase decision. The message should inform consumers why they should buy the product and what they stand to benefit from.
Campaign Theme
The bulletproof vests would use the following theme for the campaign “ personal security, your responsibility; security starts with you !” The campaign theme designed to be used in the bulletproof marketing is precise, direct, and clear in the sense that it is communicating the purpose of the product, which is to enhance the wearer's security. The application of the stated theme would help in talking to the users that the bulletproof vests are meant to increase individual security levels; especially because bulletproof vests are worn when one is likely to experience a shootout thereby being protected from penetration of bullets into the inner body organs since such penetration can lead to injuries and death of the person. The theme demonstrates that personal security can only be possible with the person in need of protection, making the first move of buying the bulletproof vests.
Traditional Media Ad 1-Broadcast
Tagline - “Reliable Body Armor for all”
The world of today is full of insecurities, and the government is doing everything possible to control crime rates affecting society daily. However, the price of crimes is gradually overpowering law enforcer's abilities and presence. The desperate situation hence is demanding every member of the community to take critical protective measures. Improving personal security would make criminal activities attempts unsuccessful, and let's all remember that good security starts with you!
The selected broadcast tagline and message will be used during peak broadcasting times in different television and radio channels that have a considerable following. The news is realistic, practical, and useful in that it addresses the issue from a critical point of view. The more reason is that every member of the society can relate to the high levels of insecurity that are being encountered daily, leaving some dead and others maimed. According to Kee, & Yazdanifard, 2015,) consumers desire to have a message that they can relate with from an experience perspective as it motivated them to make a purchase decision compared to an assumption or imaginative point of view.

According to Du Plessis (2017), social media is a powerful marketing channel that reaches out to a significant number of people. However, consumers are keen on the content as they prefer a message that is clear and to the point. The above news is direct since it communicates why the product is essential in the consumer's life and how to access the product. It is an ethical message that creates the need for consumers to call the provided contact and gather more information.
Conclusion
Marketing themes and taglines are important because they communicate volumes. Through a slogan and the visuals attached, it becomes possible for the consumer to detect interest or disinterest in a product.
