Module 01: Discussion: Social Media

After reading chapter one in the course textbook discuss the following scenario.  

Discussion Question:

Discuss how information released to the public can affect a company’s actions. For example, an employee’s comment to a group of friends is released on social media and results in the termination of the individual’s employment.  Does organizational policy regarding social media protect the organization? Explain.

Discussion Board Directions:

· You will not be able to view your classmate's posts until you post.

· Your initial post should be 2-3 paragraphs in length.

· Include one peer reviewed journal article to support your post. You can search for a journal article from Welder Library EResources. (Ex: Risk of social media or social media polices, etc.).

· Make sure to demonstrate critical thinking and analysis by using research and personal work experiences.
