Sport Fans

 

There are many different sports fans all throughout the world; they come with different types of personalities and not to mention their level of craziness. I have come across all different kinds of craziness and personalities, but I can relate to or see when sports are in season are the following: the fanatic/extremist, the fan, and finally the casual fan. The Fanatic fan chooses to go to the extreme with their favorite sport. These fans are the ones painted head-to-toe with their team colors and wearing their sports gear. Everything in their everyday life is about sports. They are glued to the television watching the games or have season tickets so they will not miss a beat.

The Fan, not an extremist, but I considered these fans to make an effort to watch every game. The Fan tends to keep up with the season and changes that happened. They tend to have above-average knowledge of scores, team rosters, and changes throughout the season. Finally, there is the casual Fan. This casual fan has their favorite team and watches the games here and there, but if something interesting pops up they are willing to miss the game no big deal. They are familiar with the players, plays, and different teams. The casual fans still have a favorite team and have basic knowledge of plays or scores but it is not as important, so if they have other interests they’ll go on to those interests. There may be many other types of sports fans, but these are some of the most common I see among my friends. So, the next time you are at a bar, stop and look around you will see all kind of sports fans around. The question is which sports fan do you think you happen to be?
