MNGT 312 – Operations Management

Final Project (25% of final grade)

Students must come up with their own business idea to be implemented into a business venture and proceed as follows:

1. Describe your business idea and why you believe it will be successful focusing primarily on the characteristics of consumer demand

2. Explain your business vision and strategy

3. Discuss the key elements for the design of your product

4. Explain your strategy for quality management

5. Explain how you will organize your supply chain management and if appropriate also your inventory management

6. Business-computing students might also need to discuss inventory arrangements and their MRP-ERP framework

Your project should be around 2500-3000 words and will be submitted on the last week of the course

The grading for this essay will consist as follows:

20% Structure & presentation

30% Descriptive conciseness

40% Analytical ability

10% Project presentation to class
