In recent years, many retailers (e.g. fashion, food & beverage) have switched to using paper bags to pack items for customers, as paper bags are deemed more eco-friendly than plastic bags. However, recent studies have shown that paper bags are not necessarily better than plastic bags for the environment (see article links below). In this assignment, you are required to answer the following:
(a) Compare the environmental impact of paper and plastic bags in Singapore’s context. Note: You should consider the whole life cycle of the bags when evaluating their environmental impact.
