Topic: What Happen when your phone becomes your Medical Doctor?

For the project in this class, I want to have my research paper about if cell phones can be good medical doctors. I would give some general information on Smart Phones and some features that can be helpful in terms of medical awareness. I want to discuss this topic as most of the points are related to aged people.

I would be able to discuss the struggle for an aged person to accept new technology and use a cell phone. We have discussed in previous classes that even though we say that there is no age for learning; practically, at a certain age people can’t accept new technology.

I would also discuss how people can lead to misinformation and what can be a risk with that misinformation that we can see on the internet. I have read many articles and stories where the person thinks to try searching up some symptoms and think he has all the illness.

I also would like to discuss security concerns. Security is always a concern when it comes to technology. Especially when we are hearing about malware attacks and data bridges every day. We talked about the financial issue that the elderly be facing especially at an age where they can’t do a job. In this situation think about someone stealing their money because they entered their card information or bank information on some random site.

Lastly, would also talk about some positives of smartphones. How it can be helpful to access one’s electronic medical records and how these records can come in handy for an elder person.
