Evaluation of the vision, mission, and philosophies

The vision, mission, and philosophies of the two institutions are proficient. This is because they are professional and effective in bringing out the values, the causes that the schools believe in, and the results they expect to achieve in future regarding the children.

Mission statement

Our mission is to present the children with opportunities to grow, learn, discover themselves, and acquire social, emotional, and intellectual enrichment as they strive to reach their full potential.

Vision statement

To instill the right values in our children and adequately prepare them to be productive members of the society.

Philosophy

At Bloom's childcare center, we value early childhood education as the basis for lifelong learning. We believe that every child has their unique characteristics that make learning in our institution worthwhile. The welfare of every child is paramount and we integrate them with social, physical, and cognitive skills. Our focus is on holistic growth and learning and we, therefore, provide a safe environment, offer productive child-adult interactions, and provide a curriculum that is in line with our values. In order to provide quality education to our children, we also welcome family involvement in their learning and support the teaching staff.

I have learned that the mission and vision statements must be aligned to the philosophies of the institution.

Dear Mrs. Mahoney,

As the Director of Bloom's Childcare Center, I feel it is my duty to be actively involved in ensuring that our children acquire quality and holistic education as stipulated in our mission statement. By writing this letter I hope to persuade and motivate you to pursue the accreditation of Bloom's Childcare Center by looking at the benefits the school, teachers, and children will enjoy.

To begin with, the accreditation program will ensure that the teaching staff hired are qualified and professional to meet the diverse needs of our children. This will be beneficial to the children since proper skills will be impacted in them at an early age (NAEY, 2008). The children progress will be assessed periodically. This will ensure that teachers prepare appropriate curriculum and at the same time assessment results will reveal areas that need improvement in the teaching program. A accreditation will ensure that the curriculum promotes learning and development in social, emotional, physical, and cognitive areas. This will guarantee effective methods are employed in fostering children learning and development. Lastly, it will promote collaboration with the children and their families such that their learning and development is connected to their families and hence boost optimal learning.

As you can see, there are compelling benefits that the school’s key players stand to enjoy if the childcare center is accredited. Please consider carefully the few points I have raised. I look forward to hearing your response.

Sincerely,

Kaleena Springsteen
