Paper #3: Language and Reality

This paper will be 3 paragraphs, and no shorter than 2.5 pages. Please use MLA formatting as outlined in our MLA slides and/or "Sample MLA paper" on Blackboard.

First part (Introduction): (1 paragraph)

Define the concept of the Sapir Whorf Hypothesis using Al-Sheikh Hussein's article. You must include at least one quote or paraphrase, using MLA formatting.

In your THESIS: explain whether you agree with the hypothesis or not.

Second part: (1 paragraph)

use the following source ---

To then, explain how the source supports or rejects the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis.

Third part (1 paragraph)

Analyze the dialect of a certain place, whether it be your hometown, NYC, or elsewhere. Discuss how the language shapes reality or vice versa. You do not have to write about the English language. Do not cite anything here (unless you really want to).
