Milestone 1

My research topic is, “How detrimental anxiety is affecting our young generation during the Covid Pandemic. I personally do have interest in this topic because we are all going through this and think that we are the only ones struggling with it. I have three children that are going through anxiety and I would love to see how I could help them. I believe that this is a trending topic right now and will be able to have access to many resources. That way I can help them and help me with my research paper. My preference in databases was PubMed. I used all of the resources available and tips from your recorded video. That really came in handy; I used the engine search, as “Should Euthanasia be legal?” I added abstract, free full-text, meta-analysis, systematic review, and a 1-year publication. I feel that this really helped. I saved the keywords that I came across for future reference to continue my research. Keywords: anxiety AND affecting AND children AND covid. I came across many great articles that will come in very handy.

The first article I found using the keywords was:

Exploring the Impact of COVID-19 on Mental Health Outcomes in Children and Adolescents: A Systematic Review

This article has valuable information about scholars expressing concern about its potential debilitating consequences on youth mental health. Hence, this research aimed to provide a systematic review of the evidence on the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on youth mental health.

I feel this has valuable information that can be used for my research paper. However, I do feel that I will come across negative information on whether or not vaccines are good or not. I am sure this will end up with religious beliefs among other problems such as why not to get vaccinated and the pros and cons of the vaccine. I am not interested in this information, nevertheless am aware that it is information that comes with the keyword search Covid. I am sure that writing this research paper will be very beneficial for my household and other children around me that are struggling with anxiety. Many people think it is funny or that anxiety does not even exist. I have experienced it myself and it is honestly the worst thing I have ever experienced. It is an indescribable feeling that can lead to a disaster if not treated on time. I am excited to continue the research and help others with this topic.
