Communication is an essential part of an organization; it connects it to every interested party they transact business with. Phone calls, letters, and emails are some of the modes of communication that most organizations. Of these three modes, email is the most effective and also prone to the attacks since it utilizes the information technology infrastructure such as network, servers, etc. therefore, ensuring the safety of these infrastructures is crucial. Harry and Mae’s receive and send email through the network infrastructure. thus, some of it recommended that the organization implements strategies to ensure the safety of their information.

The organization should implement encryption to all the emails they are sending to different parties. Encryption ensures that the information is secure while in transit. It prevents the attackers from access the content of the mail if they succeed to access them. The message has additional characters that require a key to be accessed. The key is either shared by the sender and the receiver, or each has a unlock and a key to the message.

The second recommendation is the implementation of a VPN in all the devices used to secure unprotected networks. The institution resources should have the VPN to keep the identities invisible to the attacker. The strategy applies also to those accessing the organization network through wireless.

The time a criminal will come to access the restrict information is nigh. Thus, preparation should be made in advance. Hence, in addition to the firewall used by Harry and Mae, intrusion detectors, and prevention should put in place. The system should be installed in all networks and most importantly the network connecting the organization resources to the servers. The system will detect and prevent intrusion.
