HARRY AND MAE’S NETWORK 2

Harry and Mae’s network system suffers a variety of policies and procedures setbacks for both employees and customer’s security standards. As a result, some of these inadequacies have led to vulnerabilities such as open Wi-Fi and weak password policies. It is important to have proper policies and procedures in place that work unanimously with both physical and virtual in order to instill maximum system protection at Harry and Mae’s Inc.

The company should treat data as their utmost value. The entire value of data within the context of how often it is utilized, the company ability to store past, present and manage it. Since the company deals with clients, data is of paramount value such as customer numbers, data collected from social media and other various sources regarding customer feedback and satisfaction (Barnes et al., 2002). Therefore when more than one person within the organization accesses the data, then there is need to be secured. The current state of Harry and Mae’s network infrastructure is accessible to anyone, the system is so simple like that of a small company. The layout comprises of a mail server, firewalls, databases server and so on, all that form the foundation of data collection for the organization.

Since the company plan is to move from one flour to three flours, I would recommend the layout to remain the same to avoid complexity. Also, I would prescribe the physical and logical layout on each flour to remain identical. The hub and, the overall wiring be tied or placed in one place. There should be heavy loading capability for wifi connections. The entire server should be moved to third flour to avoid being accessed by unauthorized persons.
