To help you answer the questions below, refer to your module resources, MyMISLab, and any additional resources you can identify. Remember that you will need to use current APAguidelines for your citations in the final project submission. Note that each question in this worksheet asks you to track your citations. This will help you avoid a last-minute hunt for resources when you submit your final project.

Part I: Business Needs

In this section, you will review the scenario and assume the role of a business analyst at SNHU Clothing. In this role, you will identify at least two business needs for SNHU Clothing and describe at least two types of data that can help you address these business needs.

 

1. Business Needs: Using the information in the scenario, identify at least two major business needs for SNHU Clothing and provide a one- to two-sentence description for each business need. What goals are driving SNHU Clothing forward? What challenges does SNHU Clothing face as an organization?

 

2. Types of Data: Describe different types of data that might be stored in client systems at SNHU Clothing and identify at least two types of data that could specifically address the business needs you described in the first question. In one to two sentences, provide a rationale as to why those data types can be used to address those business needs.

 

Part II: Client Systems

In this section, you will describe the client systems used by SNHU Clothing and illustrate how they interrelate.

 

3. Client Systems: Describe the two client systems associated with SNHU Clothing. How do you distinguish between the systems? How do these client systems reflect SNHU Clothing’s business needs?

 

4. Interrelationships: Describe how the two client systemsinterrelate with one another. Consider the systems’ differences and similarities when describing these interrelationships. You may use a combination of text and visuals, such as a flowchart, to illustrate these interrelationships.

 

Part III: Accessing Data

In this section, you will detail some considerations for accessing the data you would need to address SNHU Clothing’s business needs.

 

5. Currently Available: Explain how you can approach finding out exactly what information is currently available at SNHU Clothing.

 

6. Data Storage: Describe where and how SNHU Clothing is currently storing data. Do you think the current data storage location and approach are efficient? Explain why or why not.

 

7. Tools: Identify what types of tools you might use to extract and gather the types of data you need to address SNHU Clothing’s business needs, and explain why these types of tools are appropriate.

 

8. Data Security and Integrity: Describe reasons why data security and integrity would matter to the stakeholders at SNHU Clothing.
