Source 1: Future of Travel Industry, Tourism, Hotels, Hospitality and Business Travel
This news media source has a video that plays that shows he future of hotels, airlines,
and travel agents. The travel industry continues to be vulnerable to major shocks-
politically, global economy, environment, or other factors ranging from volcanic
eruptions. Business travel is heard to grow every year over the next 20-30 years.
There is expected for people by themselves to organize their own travel. Travel is
about emotion and experience, building trust with business colleagues. The emotion
is about understanding local culture context; relating to each customer in a deep way.
o Improving business traveller customer experience is an important thing for
this business. Hotels and airlines have a poor understanding of what its really
like to be a business person on the go. Most need the web access when on the
go, because they need to work while just sitting. On the way home, they will
most likely want a flat bed, quiet and great food and drink. Hotels need to
provide more technological in rooms and also more supplies. For example,
like an iron and ironing board. Free Wi-Fi does matter when dealing with any
clients.

book 46% of their trips online prior to arrival and 54% users are now using a
wider range of sources. This article is mainly about Australia and the kinds of
travelers that make their way there.
Source 3: A Positive Future for Tourism
The downturns in consumer confidence have dropped quickly in tourism arrivals, as
evidenced by 4% decline. The next year it went up 2%, but more recently the industry
has demonstrated strength in accelerating emerging economies and demographic
shifts. The importance for governments to promote the attractiveness of destinations
must be highly looked on and not over looked; this is what brings in more money and
more people to see these places.
o The future of the tourism industry is positive. Besides a quiet consumer
backdrop, travel is something that consumers will not forego so easily. They
are made to promote destinations for international boundaries. This will
extend the places for consumers to go. Hospitality is everywhere.
Discussion:
o I believe that these three topics are extremely similar. We were supposed to find articles
that discussed Tourism’s Future from chapter 20. I found all of my sources from the
Internet, but they all were about the topic. The first one really talks about airlines and
hotels and how it affects each business traveler or any traveler in general. This article was
very spot on and gave lots of information regarding airlines and hotels. The workers at
the time when people are hardcore traveling just need to know the cliental and everything
should run smoothly. The next article really covered Australian tourism and the projects
that are involved there. They try to do any job efficient and effective, and I think with any
hospitality business. Near or far, should be doing this kind of job. We are here to please
people and that is a very easy and great way to do it. For the last article that I covered it
was over a positive future for tourism. Traveling In this era is not going to stop or slow
down it will only go up and bring in more money than before. We live in an era that
promotes traveling and change and who doesn’t want to go some place besides what they
see every single day. This article is made to promote business for international use, so
guest will travel out of the country and get to see what is internationally. These three
articles really cover what was to be asked of, and I enjoyed learning different verities of
information from hospitality.
