Instructions:
Write a paper that is a minimum of three full pages (not including title page or references), maximum five pages, that adheres to the APA standards. You MUST use at least two resources from the readings listed on the syllabus. Use library resources, web-based materials, and media coverage on the following topic:
Find a news story (political scandal) or movement (#metoo, #blacklivesmatter, etc) and explore the various ways the media has presented the story/movement. Find sources that reported from different angles and presented opposing views. Write about why they would be coming from different perspectives – what is the background on the sources? How reliable are the sources? How do you know their reliability? What impact did the stories you found have on people’s perception of the story/movement? Be sure to have a section in the paper that discusses bias in the media and identify if bias had an impact on the story/movement you chose.
