Midterm Instructions

This take-home midterm is due on November 1st by 11:59pm. Your essay should draw from as much of the course material as possible, including lectures, and readings. You also need to incorporate theoretical concepts within your analysis. Please limit your sources to ones we have used in class. You are not to use quotes—paraphrase ideas and cite the source using MLA Style. Please make sure that your test is submitted as a word file, and that you use 12pt font, normal margins, and that your writing is double spaced. The length of your essay should be between 1200 and 1700 words. You do not need to include a bibliography.

Essay Topic:

In this course we have looked at some of the reasons for inequality in Canada. Discuss and critically analyze why inequality exists in Canada. In your analysis you should look at the role of government, corporations, racism, and the wealthy.
