Middle East Videography
Middle East Annotated Videography An annotated videography is a list of videos, followed by a very brief (3-4 sentences or about 100 words) descriptive and evaluative paragraph (the annotation) about the video. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited (tell me why you selected the videos you did!).
In this course, you've seen some of the videos selected in the Content area. The videos were chosen for specific reasons. They illustrate things to help you to understand the culture and the music better.
This assignment is an opportunity for you to locate and share some videos which you believe are especially illustrative of something very specific.
The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited (tell me why you selected the videos you did!).
The videos from this assignment can tie into your final Connections Assignment.

Please do: Be very, very, very specific in your selection on one very, very, very narrow topic. Become an expert on this one little thing. It is important.
Please don't: If you are thinking of mostly western sounding pop artist of a European or American bent, than I would say it defeats the point of the assignment. Please don't do it. You will loose lots of points or possibly have to redo the assignment.
Please don't: chose a broad topic (for example: "female vocalists of the Middle East is FAR TOO BROAD) you will loose lots of points.
