HISTORY
Originally started as “Micro-soft” in 1975.
Created by a student at Harvard, Bill Gates and Paul Allen, a programmer.
The company started in Albuquerque, New York and is current located in Redmond, Washington.
1978 it reached more than $1 million and eventually licensed it’s MS_DOS operating system to IBM for its first personal computer.
Allen was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma,
and followed a variety of other business ventures after.
History
In 1985 “Windows” a new operating system was announced, and the market of shares increased to $21 a share.
Based on sales, Microsoft became the world’s biggest personal-computer software company.
Mid-1990’s Internet Explorer was introduced, the world’s biggest personal-computer software company.
Today Microsoft is America’s most valuable company and is worth over $1 trillion dollars.
