I will likewise ensure that my convictions are not to cloud my judgment on another person's convictions regardless of the amount we oppose this idea. I will likewise know about discarding any significant desk work in the right way of the district and local state policies.

Student Engagement Strategies

Classroom jobs are nice for social interplay because they drive students to interact with other students in the classroom. Students working with others is a great way to utilize social interactions with students they normally would not interact with. Free Centers and Group work are other great tools that students get to work with their peers. Try to use something students are interested in.

Some ideas for students that are struggling with the English Language. Place the student by someone in the class who understands the same language. That way if the student needs to ask a question in their own language because they do not understand the question in English, he/she can ask his/her peer. Speak slower and wait a few minutes for students to respond with questions before moving on. That way if they do not understand the question, it gives the student time to process the information and ask questions.

Some Engagement strategies to help students with exceptionalities. They would be to teach the students how to add and subtract with money or Use routines to teach things. Some examples of Instruction being modified via technology. Have students post a video or podcast for an assignment or play a game on Kahoot with their classmates for a lesson.

My Philosophy of Classroom Management -

Building a relationship with my students, by greeting them every morning and during circle time on Monday's let them take time to share something they did over the weekend. I will make sure to have the rules and procedures posted in my classroom so the students can refer to them and know what I expect of them. Creating an environment where my students feel safe by making sure they have breakfast and lunch every day. Creating classroom jobs so the students feel important in the classroom. Implementing a behavior chart to track the behavior daily and by offering a Fun Friday for the class to work towards on Friday. Which will consist of a fun learning activity on Friday afternoons.

Classroom Procedures

1) Morning Work.

Turn to your homework in the correct basket; take a seat at your desk and duplicate the bulletins on the board on your planner. Start working quietly on the bell work on your desk. If you finish before time to move to the next activity, start reading an AR book at your desk quietly. This procedure will minimize distractions because the students are busy working and not chit-chatting with each other. This maximizes class time in light of the fact that the instructor can get his/her next lesson together while the students are quietly working on morning work and it did not cut into the lesson time.

2) Classroom jobs

There will be on the board with a list of classroom jobs. The teacher will provide an explanation for the classroom jobs on the first day of the school. This will minimize distractions because when the teacher needs someone to run an errand he/she will not have to ask the class who wants to run her errand. She will have a designated person to call on. This maximizes class time because the teacher is not having to interrupt her teaching to run an errand.

3) Technology use in the classroom

Only visit websites that are school appropriate; be polite and display respect when communicating with others; keep my personal information secret; report any unsightly messages/inappropriate web sites to my teacher. This will minimize distractions because the websites will keep the students engaged in learning. This maximizes class time because the teacher is not having to manage what content the students are or are not watching.

Rules, Consequences, and Reward System

Rules:

1. No running in the classroom or hallway.

2. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.

3. Be respectful of classmates, teachers, and assets

4. Raise your hand to ask a question or to get up.

5. Put away electronics.

Consequences:

1. Verbal Warning

2. Miss part of Recess/Free Time

3. Parent Contact via letter

4. Student/Teacher Conference with the parent about behavior

5. Referral to Office

Reward System:

One jar will be for positive classroom behavior the other one will be for negative classroom behavior. The students will earn beans to put in the class jar for positive behavior. If the classroom is having negative behavior, then a bean will be removed from the positive jar and placed in the negative behavior.

The rules, consequences, and reward system will create a safe and productive learning environment because the students will know the rule, consequences, and reward system. It will also make students want to follow the rules so they can earn rewards.
