Michael will continue to work with the therapist with facilitated communication techniques for 1 hr. 1x daily

Unhealthy/poor diet

The mother reported that snack is the only way to get Michael’s attention

The mother will introduce Michael to healthier food daily and during weekend visits, Michael will also eat 2 servings of vegetables 2x daily

Poor independent skills

Michael lacks the ability to complete appropriate age range tasks due to his mother completing all tasks for Michael

Mother will allow Michael to complete all tasks daily by providing assistance as needed daily. Therapist will continue to help Michael 1x daily w/self care skills

Family lack of engagement/Lack of father involvement

Appears to show anger, lack of eye contact when he’s not happy with parents.

Parents will commit to taking Michael on short outings outside of the home setting twice a week for at least 30 minutes 1x daily to introduce alternative changes in his schedule and new environmental stimulations

Once Michael is showing progress with adapting to outside environments, it is recommended that his parents take him to participate in a community playgroup for parents of children with Autism 4x a month or 1x weekly at a specified location (Ex: School or park) where children work on their areas of development and social skills. This also gives parents of Autistic children a chance to get to know one another and share ideas and feel supported)
