Additionally, social norms and health care service demand and consumption often shape policy formation and the ability to develop intervention protocols to improve positive health care outcomes for patients.

Health economics has often been referred to as the study of efficiency, the implementation of policies and procedures to produce positive health care outcomes despite abrupt or long-term limited resources situations.

For this week's assignment, you will be immersed in a community health center that provides primary care to a low income, culturally and linguistically diverse urban community. As the administrator, it will be important for you to analyze issues such as double-booking of patient appointments, language barriers between caregivers and patients, and the increasing demand for care regarding walk-in patients.

It will be important for you to develop a plan centered on improving equitable access to your clinic's services, improving educational processes regarding possible health risks in the community, and reducing tiers of care.
