Discussion: Deriving Organizational Culture from Organizational Theory

The health care environment is inclusive of teams in all sectors of health care to achieve shared goals, merge observations, expertise, and decision making in an effort to increase patient safety and effective patient-centered care. According to Babiker et al. (2014), the need for effective teams is increasing due to the increase of co-morbidities and the increasing complexity of specialization in care. This can only be achieved by placing the patient at the center of care through sharing a diverse collaboration of values and principles. This partnership comprises different members with different backgrounds and cultural beliefs. Discuss the importance of culture in health care organizations when developing organizational goals and how organizational theory influences the creation of these targets.
