MARKET RESEARCH AND SEGMENTATION (SLP)
Two salient trends impacting the business administration or operations
Trends refer to a develop or change in a general direction. There are two trends that will impact the business operations and administration. The trends will be based on the technology. Technology has been the source of change in business administration. Also, the technology helps in automating traditional administrative tasks (Done, 2011). One of the trends is cloud computing; it is technology advancement that aid in storing and processing data or information from any geographical position which help in reducing the cost of purchasing new equipment and also it less time is consumed and improves the security of data from physical threats (Hagland, 2009). Secondly, a virtual office is another trend that help in providing communication service via the use of computer telephony integration software. With this trend, it helped in integrating the work and home which helped in lowering the office expenses. Additionally, the virtual office offers flexibility and lowering the cost of business administration activities.
Are these trends uniquely different for ancillary services vs. inpatient services?
As per the findings, it is clear that the above trends are different, but there is no wide range of differences. Therefore, I don’t think the trends are uniquely different because both are enhancing the operations of the health industry in general. Moreover, the technology advancements are applied in health sector despite whether they are care centers offering inpatient or ancillary services.
Future of the salient trends
In future, these trends will have improved the business operations and administration through enhancing business effectiveness and efficiency. Moreover, I expect business operation and administrative tasks to be fast, quality and take less time thus improving the productivity because of increased technological advancements or innovations (Hagland, 2009). In approximate ten years to come these technological advancements will transform the healthcare settings.
