Leadership and Management in Healthcare

In leadership roles, we are constantly comparing and contrasting leadership roles and management responsibilities and it is important as healthcare leaders that we differentiate the two. In addition, it is helpful to understand the differences between a leader and a manager.

Tasks:

In a minimum of 200 words, post your responses to the following to the Discussion Area:

· What are the characteristics of a "good” leader or manager?

· What are the primary barriers and challenges associated with healthcare leadership?

· Compare and contrast leadership theories and assess which theory is most effective.

To support your work, use your course and textbook readings and also use the  South University Online Library . As in all assignments, cite your sources in your work and provide references for the citations in APA format.
