Assignment: Please develop a grievance policy for the hypothetical organization you have just been hired at. Organization Information: Small to medium sized manufacturing plant (500-1000 employees) located in the State of Texas. The organization is approximately 75% male and 80% white. Things that need to be addressed in your grievance policy*:
1. Who may file?;
2. Statute of limitations?;
3. Who do you file to?;
4. How long does the organization have to file?;
5. Who receives the findings?;
6. Are they made public?;
7. Appeals process?;
8. Describe the appeals process in detail.
*This is not a mutually exhaustive list
You will need to address it for each of the scenarios provided below:
1. A prospective employee disagreeing with the employment decision
2. A current employee is denied a promotion
3. An employee filed a grievance against a colleague
4. An employee filed a grievance against a supervisor
5. A supervisor filed a grievance against an employee that he/she supervises
