Executive Summary

Turner and Turner (TNT) Consulting Group is a family owned business that was founded by my wife and I in 2010. The company has 25 employees experienced in performance improvement, information technology, and management. Our concentration focuses on small and medium businesses, giving them a competitive advantage and taking them to the next level. An analysis is conducted to learn about the firm before addressing the senior leadership. We can address the needs of a firm successfully after learning the organization. Furthermore, we provide a plan, process improvements, and a detailed plan of evaluation required for sustainment.

Purpose statement

The main objective of TNT Consulting Group is a consulting firm and aiding them to flourish in management consulting and performance. TNT Consulting Group services are sort out for the improvement of a firm's performance as well as management at entire levels. Our purpose is to examine a firm's performance and discover the cause of deficiencies that require improvement through analysis. This will provide the company with a sense of direction and equip the management with necessary tools in decision making.

Mission statement

The mission statement of TNT Consulting Group is clear and precise as it gives customers a snapshot of what we offer and why we exist. TNT Consulting Group is a family owned consulting company offering valuable expertise, advice as well as guidance in performance and management.

Client Issues/Problems

TNT Consulting Group has been selected advise/guide the Serenity Cigar Lounge (SCL). For the last seven years, the lounge has been under three different ownership. My company has been invited by the new owner to aid in finding strategies that will enable the business to succeed. The tobacco industry is a market that is growing and cigar lounges to be precise has shown significant comeback in the past seven years. Providing quality customer services in an atmosphere that is untroubled is the ultimate objective of SCL. According to research, there is a considerable number of customers in the area. Other cigar lounges, vapor shops and tobacco shops are the immediate competition located in a 50-mile radius. The average blue-collar worker would be the potential customers based on the area demographics. The target customers would be men, aged 25 – 55. Under the previous ownership they only sold cigars, beer, and wine. The previous owners also struggled with marketing and getting feedback from their customers. Additionally, the previous staff have had a high turnover rate, which is impacted by low wages, benefits and lack of training.

Strategies

The core to development fundamental is what our consultants focus on which will lead to process improvements. The goal is to take the organization in a new direction by expanding their services and developing skills so that they can handle the new responsibilities (Hale, 2007). TNT Consulting Group is capable of providing interpersonal skills which improve customer service, decision-making skills, communication, problem solving and professionalism. Furthermore, we will aid the firm in implementing technology, correct policies and procedures that will contribute to sustainability. A full bar will be added and extended operating hours will attract a group of new customers. Understanding the firm’s weaknesses and strengths is one essential element.

Marketing

A marketing plan is very important to the success of an organization, because it deals with how one does business with respect to two customers and competitors (Pershing, 2006). Locating the right place is imperative to attract the targeted customers. This information may be gathered through surveying of customers. Further information may be obtained from a similar business in the area. The next step is advertising and website development. TNT Consulting Group will aid in developing smartphone apps.

Action plan/ Evaluation process

The ideas and recommendations will be put in motion once the business action plan will be developed. A detailed management and performance strategies will make it possible to determine in advance where we want to go to, where we are now and the necessary guidelines for achieving the stated goal (Fernández-Guerrero, Revuelto-Taboada, & Simón-Moya, 2012). The plan will focus on the process of hiring, training plans and provide them with the most efficient means of evaluating their success. There will be an establishment of monthly goals and progress constantly monitored and adjustments made if need be. Customers will be provided a quick on-screen survey at the register to receive immediate feedback of the customer’s experience.
