After some trials all four team members were able to meet through Google Hangouts on Tuesday, 2/19/2019. Our team was effectively able to create a team charter and use this to continue to our simulation. We each gave our input on the sections R&D, Marketing, Production, and Finance of Capsim Round#1 and, although struggled some, were able to complete the team practice simulation through effective communication. We met again on Saturday, 2/23/2019. Between meetings each of us continued to test out the Capsim simulation and discussed our findings at Saturday meeting. Also planned in this meeting was the development of a new product projected to be available for market in mid 2021. We feel now we have a better understanding of the system and expectations.

Summary of your own responsibilities in this round, and how you contributed to the analysis and decision making.

Note: Since I spent most of the time with Team Andrew I will speak this week on our results. I was part of the decision to start a new R&D product to enter the market in 2021. During both sessions on the CC, I ensured questions was asked on the impact of increase over all price and the impact of the stock price. We continued to speak on each area of the practice round and did we meet our goal to receive a star in each category.

Use this form to complete the weekly “CAPSIM CT” assignment.

Contribution Scoring: Assign a percentage of the team’s contribution made by each team member for the week; for example, for a team of five students: 20, 15, 20, 10, 35 (Total = 100). You can round up or down to the nearest whole number, if necessary.

Comments: Add any brief comments about team members who stood out, if applicable.

Summary: This is a summary of your own individual investment in the decision-making process and participation during the week. What challenged you, how did you address it, and what did you learn?

(Place your summary in the “comments” column in the lower right cell.)

Congratulations on completing another round (year) in the business simulation! ;o)
