The organization to work for is based on the industry of retail. It was founded in 1994 and its headquarters is based in Seattle, Washington DC. It is an American multinational technology corporation that focuses primarily on e-commerce, digital streaming, cloud computing and artificial intelligence. It offers variety of products including consumer electronics, groceries, health and personal-care products, beauty items and gourmet food products.

The company’s mission is to serve its customers in both platforms including its online and physical stores. It intends to focus on approaches that will improve its price strategy, and to become more convenience for all types of consumers. On the other side, the organization’s vision statement is to transform the world into a place where customers can buy any product or service from where they are without travelling.

The company’s culture is based on three primary characteristics. One of the characteristics includes boldness where it promotes the element of boldness among its workforce. The company is also characterized by customer-centricity. It has integrated this traits in its vision statement and it encourages its workforce to focus on the needs and demands of its customers. Also, the company is characterized by peculiarity which is the idea of challenging conventions.

Organization Diversity
Based on its diversity, women make up 31.4% of U.S. corporate employees, up 1.4% from 2019. Black employees make up 7.2%, up from 5.4%. White employees make up 47%, down from 48.4%; Asian employees make up 34.8%, down from 36.2%; and LatinX workers make up 7.5%, up from 6.6%.
