Answers:

Role of directional, marketing, operations and human resource strategies at Ortiv Glass Corporation

The marketing function in any organization plays a very important role in creating good relations between the glass corporation and its client. Marketing function provides the company’s operational function with specific instructions so as to come up with a product with the right specifications that would attract as many clients as possible (Cummings & Worley, 2014). The human resource ensures skilled personnel are recruited and that there is effective communication all throughout the corporation.

Classification based on the BCG matrix

Ortiv Glass Corporation deals with plate glass that are majorly used in the automotive and construction sectors (Pruschkowski, 2018). I would classify Ortiv Glass Corporation on the star quadrant on the BCG matrix as glass products are actually part of the high growth market but in most cases has a high share in the market. This kind of product needs an ongoing investment to remain sustained.

Partnership

Ortiv glass corporation is partners with automotive and construction industries where glass plates are majorly used. The partnership has been a success as if it was not the case, then Ortiv Glass Corporation would not be producing and marketing glass plates

Structure

Ortiv Glass Corporation is headed by a top management team in charge of all that goes on in the plant. The corporation also has several department managers who report to the top management team and are in charge of different departments such as the engineering department, administration department, human resource department, quality control department and the production department. The employees report to the managers in charge of their specific departments.
