A - The production system of an organization is essential and is involved in producing the
products of the organization. The production system involves resources following a defined path in
the system. The resources are combined for transformation in a controlled manner. The
transformation process takes one or more inputs and outputs and adds value to them. Production is an
organized activity and every system in production has an objective. Different inputs are transformed
into useful outputs. In organizations where the inputs are defined as the raw materials, it is easier to
identify the transformation involved.
For example, in a plastic manufacturing company, the inputs and raw materials include
natural products or synthesized primary chemicals such as oil, natural gas and coal. Atoms of the raw
materials are joined to form polymers which form thermoplastics (Huixin & Zhang, 2019). For an
external accounting office, the input includes customers and the information being processed. The
transformational resources which are termed as inputs include land, equipment and even staff. The
outputs of an external accounting company include accounting reports, audit reports, and business
strategies. The transformation process in accounting involves changes in the ownership of
information. The production system also has a feedback channel set up to ensure an organization is
aware of the activities to come up with better ways in which they can improve and optimize system
performances.
B - The decision-making process involves analyzing proposals and settling on a particular
proposal in an organization entity. Decision-making process involves settling on a particular action
course by making use of cognitive processes. The cognitive processes include memory, thinking and
evaluation (Heizer, 2016). The process and capacity design involves decisions on the physical
process and the facility used in the production of goods or services. The decisions also highlight the
associated workplace practices. In the case of plastic manufacturing process, decisions may include
the thermoplastic and thermoset processing methods such as extrusion and calendaring. For the
external accounting company, the decision may involve the lease on the property.
Quality decisions are associated with the general quality of the product produced or the
service provided. There are standards that must be set in accordance with the regulations provided as
well as the frequent training of employees (Heizer, 2016). Capacity involves the companies having
the right amount of capacity at the right place and time. Capacity involves meeting schedules,
facilities and equipment. For example, for the external accounting organization it involves having a
schedule for all the activities involving people including workers’ shifts and the size of physical
facilities for the plastic manufacturing company.
The inventory is used in determining the order, amount of order and management of the flow
of materials within an organization including stationeries. The supply chain involves having in place
the best strategies to streamline, reduce costs and develop trusted business partners. The external
accounting office systems are presented under two forms namely; management accounting and
financial accounting. The two different forms of accounting have different accounting and thus plans
should get set giving in depth consideration on both.

A - wood art factory uses high standard for wooden arts and it is for that reason they
incorporate the use of technology and machine. The use of technology and machine ensures that the
standards are matched.
B - The alternative process that can get used by Woodart factory would be crafting where
handmade arts from wood are explored. The downside of such a venture would be increase in labor
costs and time taken to make the art.
