Go to NVCA, National Venture Capital Association, Smart Briefs https://www2.smartbrief.com/getLast.action?mode=last&b=NVCA (It does not matter which day.)

Look under Capital Calls and pick a company that just raised money. Open the related article.

You are to prepare a write-up on the company and the transaction that you identified. (You can use bullet points.) The write-up should have the following information:

Name of company

Amount of money raised

Valuation

Names of investors

What round was the investment? (A,B,C, etc.)

Description of the company

Why did they raise money and what are they going to do with the proceeds?

The write-up should be a page or less. I do not care what size of font you use.

Amount of Extra Credit

If you complete the extra credit and turn it in on time then you will receive 5 points added to your midterm score. For example, if you earned an 85 on the midterm then you will receive 90.
