Setup Citrix Receiver
The Citrix Receiver must be installed on each device you will use to access GCU applications. (If you use a Chrome OS based device, skip to the "Connecting through the Web Interface" section.)
1. Go to http://receiver.citrix.com.
1. Click Download Receiver for Windows or Download Receiver for Mac depending on your platform.
1. Click the license agreement checkbox, then click Continue. A file will download to your computer.
1. After the file downloads, open it to start the Citrix Receiver Installer. Mac users will need to click the Install Citrix Receiver.pkg that appears.
1. Follow the instructions to install Receiver (this may take a few minutes).
1. After the installation is complete Receiver will be ready to run your applications.
Connecting to your apps:
There are two methods of launching your GCU apps. Both methods offer the same result so use the one that fits your style of computing best.
Option 1 - Connecting with the Receiver Client - Initial Setup
0. Start the Citrix Receiver. If it is already running, this is the icon you'll see in the notification area or dock.
1. Bring up Receiver and enter https://myapps.gcu.edu for the server address and click Next.
1. Enter your GCU username and password, then click Log On.
1. Click "Yes" then "Finish" to allow Receiver to connect to GCUApps.
Option 2 - Connecting through the Web Interface
1. To login to the web interface, open http://myapps.gcu.edu in your web browser and login with your GCU username and password.
Launching Applications
1. Once logged in via either method you can customize your list of apps by clicking the + button on the left side of the screen. From here you can browse the available apps and add them to your MyApps desktop.
1. To start an app, click on the app icon.
0. Note for web interface users: If after clicking an icon the website downloads a file like the one below, simply open the file to start the application.
