CASE #2
Cellurific Batteries The life of Cellurific phone battery is normally distributed with a mean of 1,100 days and standard deviation of 60 days. Using Microsoft Excel determine the Reliability Function of the phone batteries. Specifically, answer the following questions. Please upload your individual Microsoft Excel solution file on Blackboard by the due date. Each question must be answered on a separate sheet of the same Excel file. Questions.
1) What fraction of batteries is expected to survive beyond 1,200 days? (5 points)
2) What fraction will survive fewer than 995 days? (5 points) 3) Draw a chart of the reliability function using Excel. You can use the Example_Normal_Reliability_Fn template available on Blackboard to plot the reliability function. The reliability graph should show the reliability of the batteries for a battery-life spanning 900 hours to 1300 hours. Make sure the axes and the chart are properly labeled. (10 points)
4) What length of warranty is needed so that no more than 10 percent of the batteries will be expected to fail during the warranty period? (10 points)
