Introduction

Include a short introductory paragraph about your proposal. Be compelling as to why this is needed. This is almost like a sales pitch to convince the board to approve this idea. This is a template so be sure to remove the (Due in Module X) verbiage and the summaries under each function. Those are just helpful hints and are meant to help guide you to create an excellent, thorough, proposal using the five functions of management.

Planning (Due in Module 3)

In an essay format, answer each of the prompts in the Proposal directions thoroughly. Include as much detail as you can so that the School Board you are presenting to fully understands each section of your proposal. Important: Include research to support your rational. You should have at minimum 1 page, double spaced (depends on your type of fundraiser) and no more than 2 pages for this function of management.

Organizing (Due in Module 4)

In an essay format, answer each of the prompts in the Proposal directions thoroughly. In this area you will be addressing Organizing for your event. There are three question prompts that need to be addressed. Ensure you have research to support your justification. Ex: if you use an org chart in your proposal, use research supporting why org charts are beneficial for clarity of who reports to who etc. then write about your org chart and use a screen shot.

Staffing (Due in Module 4)

In an essay format, answer ALL the prompts in the Proposal directions thoroughly. For the staffing function, be specific in job details for your volunteers and how you will set up your communication process. We know in any organization, communication is key to success. For both functions due in the module (Organizing and Staffing), you should have approximately 2 to 3 pages of information, double spaced, and with research.

Controlling (Due in Module 6)

In an essay format, answer ALL the prompts in the Proposal directions thoroughly. For this function, think about controlling and monitoring your event. When dealing with people, the best laid out plan can go awry. Look for research to support your rational for your controlling and monitoring of your event.

Leading (Due in Module 6)

For this function, you will be evaluating your results from week 1 (leadership quiz) and describing how you will lead this fundraiser. Really provide a self-reflection on your leadership quiz and explain why you either agree or disagree with the results.

Conclusion (Due in Module 6)

For any good proposal, you need a compelling strong introduction and then a compelling conclusion. Your conclusion should remind the board the reason for this proposal and the importance of it. You want the board to finish reading this and want to approve it. Your conclusion does not need any research and should be about two paragraphs max.
