Method Description

This study focuses on the effects of childhood abuse among romantic

relationships who are not married. The method that will be used is a survey design along

with the research method for this study. The design that will be operated will be

correlational design because it dissects how romantic relationships define their current

relationship. The survey guide will have questions regarding their emotional struggles in

their past and current relationships and how that has affected their success in romantic

relations.

Procedures

Participants - This study will use a non-random sample of 200 couples. It requires

couples who have a history of childhood abuse, both men and women. These participants

are college students that must be between ages of 21 and older to acknowledge how

childhood maltreatment has affected adulthood development in relationships.

Procedures - Both men and women will be separated into different rooms with a

survey sheet. This survey sheet has the same questionnaire for both genders, but they are

not allowed to share their answers with their partner or other participants.
