After the Introduction and Literature Review, the next major section of your Research Proposal, often labeled as Methods or Methodology, describes the steps you followed in conducting your study and the materials you used at each step. The main part of the Methods section is a description of the procedural stepsused in your study and the materials employed at each step.

You are required to write at least 2 full pages, although you are always welcome to write more if you feel that it is needed.

RUBRIC (100 points possible)

Methodology of the project (60 points max)

· Includes the participants: population, sample, location, how many participants

· The design of the experiment: survey, interviews used, or another method employed

· Materials needed for the experiment

· Procedures for the experiment

· The control group and experimental group

· Variables (those included in the FRQ and additional variables you have accounted for that could change your results in the study)

· Sampling technique used

Spelling, Punctuation, & Capitalization (10 pts max)

· Rule mastery

Sentence Structure and Grammar (10 pts max)

· Effective use of different sentence structures

· Appropriate use of tense

· Grammatical error avoidance

· Effective use of function words

Formatting (10 pts max)

· Formatting convention mastery

· APA Format

· In-text citations are used properly if needed

Vocabulary and Diction (10 pts max)

· Appropriate word choice
