Bob, as described, is going through a lot of challenges. A proper diagnosis of his condition is necessary and as such this work seeks to assist you in determining some of the challenges that he may be undergoing. Bob's initial behavior as you have illustrated so very worrying such as the shouting that the police are after me, the shaky speech and the shouting.
This case can be said to be a special circumstance that needs the attention of professionals so as to better to help the patient overcome his current challenges. On the first hand, the handbook the Psychiatric Interview: Evaluation and Diagnosis by Jeffrey and Geller provides some guidance on the proofer steps that should take n to help the patient.
Items such as the mental examination and diagnosis of the patient’s condition can be made. These conditions that the patient display allure to more hidden conditions such as bipolar disorder or even can be attributed to drug abuse such as the fear of the cops coming after them.
Other factors such as the poor grooming and dishelved nature allude to more underlying matters. This disorder in the patient t shows little or no consideration to their dressing and how they might appear to others. From this information, it is not that the patient is going through some challenges in the mental spheres of their life.
Mental health consulting
Introduction
In regard to therapy and psychoanalytic methods provide the counselor to understand the conditions that bob might be undergoing. In instances where the individual shows incessant fear of the police and his high temperature and lack of proper psychomotor ability may allude to drug problems. Symptoms such as this are common to drug abuse patients who may be undergoing withdrawal and hallucinations and paranoia may be seen.
As a counselor one has a few listed goals that they should seek to achieve in order to better are able to assist the patient. The practitioner has some tools at their disposal such as the placing of the patient in a solitary that they do not incur harm. However, the placement and lack of toxicology require an understanding of his condition to generate a diagnosis.
In the crisis house and further rehabilitation, the counselor can create an environment that would help the patient to better be able to recover them from their situation (Feinstein, Dyer & Pachankis, 2017). To diagnose the condition that the patient is suffering from is done by observing the cognitive symptoms that the patient displays. Bob's way of thinking and the behavior he displays are very disturbing.
He is charged with the issue where he is supposed to answer how the police would want to be after him. He is paranoid and makes him elude that anyone and everyone that he comes into contact with works for the police.
Psychological issues and conditions the medical health practitioners should be focused on is his level of care that he gives to himself. Bob is unable to groom himself. This has led to his poor states of health, such as the high body temperature and the psychomotor agitation that he has. This can be as a result of the time that bob puts into his own self-image.
The practitioner is able to analyses how bobs reaction makes him seem unstable and but can comprehend his current situation (O'KANE, 2010). Developing the ability to t make good choices, display genuine concern, and show respect to others are some of the skills that the practitioner is able to impact on the patient. Being that the patients withheld his medical information he does not seem to be trusting tie the staff at the crisis house.
Through the use of a behavioral approach, the therapist can help the patient understand at what point in their history that they went wrong. Seeing that the medical history of the patient is unavailable some assumptions can be made. That the patient has elevated levels of temperature and lack of motor skills may allude to drug abuse or withdrawal symptoms. Here the therapist is able to identify the high-risk behavior that the patient has is the possibility of causing injury to himself and others. It may be that the patient is under stress or eternal; pressure that makes them resort to unconventional means.
To inspire change within bob (Feinstein, Dyar & Pachankis, 2017) here the therapist should be able to focus on how they interact with one another and other not inside their social or family circle. If the patient is at the fear of being arrested by the police they may be under fear from arrest due to an illegal activity or flashback to an illegal activity.
Conclusion
Bob has certain behavior that makes him in a very harsh condition. Is in my opinion that he may be under the influence of drugs or in fear or shock.to better work together in the current situation and be able to avoid situations where being as a group can be disadvantageous to them.
The therapist should keep in mind that not all methods that they may employ may be able to impact a behavioral change on the patient. The risk of the therapist not being able to fully transform the client is always a possibility.
