Mental Health

This is a topic that has become very difficult to overlook and has also somewhat become a new social norm as it is a condition that is affecting a very large number of individuals across the world no matter the age, gender or societal class. It is a condition with a high impact and influences that can be felt across all regions of the world and can also be identified within different people who might be facing different situations but all have a similar mental disorder. Thus, it is a condition that is very easy to overlook but very difficult to diagnose.

This is why this happens to be a very intriguing topic for me especially considering that I have been able to be around people who had suffered from mental health conditions but always appeared to be solid even when times were difficult. This is also a very empowering topic, for I seek to be a caregiver to those who might be suffering from mental health especially within my family or my circle of a friend, since mental disorders (even depression) can result in suicide (Park et al. 2018). Other than this, it is a topic that everyone ought to learn about since it can come in handy, especially when one finds themselves within a situation where they too are facing some level of mental health complications that are resulting in impacting their mental health wellness.

The topic also happens to have the ability to open up people's minds and change how people feel, think, and act, especially when it comes to the subject matter of how to cope and go through life. Not only this, but this is an important topic since it does offer important sets of lessons that can be utilized across all stages of life. Thus, by undertaking this as a study, it would be easier to identify a large number of lessons and would also come in handy in the long run for my personal health, those around me, and a study reference point for other researchers.
