Being at work while away from our loved ones can sometimes bring on thoughts of worry that may distract us from our daily tasks. We want to make sure that our family can reach us if an emergency arises, which is why I understand the need to have personal cell phones at work.
However, private phone use is prohibited during working hours. I would like everyone to review the company’s code of ethics that was handed out during orientation. It goes into further detail of what is considered a violation of the company’s policies and the penalties for committing those violations (Smith-Worthington & Jefferson, 2011).
Personal cell phone use is only permitted during the 15-minute breaks and 30-minute lunch. Anyone caught using their cell phones outside of these time frames will be reprimanded. If you have any questions concerning the company’s code of ethics, please see your supervisor.
Sincerely,
Ms. Beth Boss, Call Center Manager

CODE OF CONDUCT MEMO
To: All employees
From: The manager
Date: 4thAugust 2015
Subject: Violations of Code of Ethics
Cc: Heads of Departments
It has come to my attention that the level of violation of the stipulated codes of ethics in the company is high especially in the terms of integrity thus affecting performance.
i. Everyone must maintain the standards of professionalism and reflect competence hence should avoid external destruction, that is, texting and receiving calls.
ii. Respecting ethics and supporting colleagues in carrying out duties rather than engaging in disruptive behaviors is necessary.
I therefore encourage everyone to comply with the measures to enhance impartibility, competence, professional development, confidentiality to achieve ultimate performance.
Yours sincerely
The Manager
