Memo Scenarios
Scenario A
Your Role: IT Manager
Management has suggested that the company is experiencing issues related to IT security. You have been asked to address this. You have decided to schedule compulsory workshops focusing on 4 common areas related to IT security.
You now need to send all company employees a memo using proper format and organization, informing them of the workshops and requesting their attendance.
The memo will need to:
• briefly explain the background to the workshops
• include all essential information e.g. dates, location, duration etc.
• state whether attendance is voluntary or compulsory
Background of the Workshop:
I’m a member of the IT team at a very successful company. 10 years ago, when I joined the business it was relatively small, employing only 20 full-time staff. However, a decade later the company has expanded, employing over 4,000 employees and dealing with vast amounts of data. This has raised a number of issues related to cost and security as well as potential loss of data.
I have found an app that will help and fix the issues company is facing.
The workshop is supposed to help the other employees and show them how to use the App (Training)
