Second Paragraph: Briefly and succinctly explain the new process that employees expect. Outline the way the reviews will be handled and by whom. Be creative yet somewhat realistic when outlining how the performance scores will translate into bonuses (i.e. tier system, seniority, contribution value, etc.) Above all, keep it simple! Remember that this is a one-time bonus contingent upon the performance review. IT IS NOT A RAISE.
Third Paragraph: Validate any anticipated concerns employees may have about this adjustment. Explain the greater benefit in the long-term this decision provides. DO NOT complicate this. A simple “For any questions or concerns, please contact me via email at [email protected] or at 305.555.5555.
