M6D: Discussion

Instruction: please use APA style and in test citation

In the beginning stages of research or when trying to get an overview of a topic, it is common to use a questionnaire.  Discuss the use of questionnaires in nursing research, the advantages and disadvantages, and your thoughts on their use.  Feel free to utilize one of the articles you used in your research grid to facilitate this discussion (if it utilized a questionnaire). My research was “obesity and diet” so associate this discussion with obesity and diet”

Rationale:  Chapter 13 discusses validity and reliability.  With the widespread use of surveys and questionnaires in nursing research, it is important to understand when they are best used, when they should not be used, and the limitations/advantages they may offer over other types of information gathering.
