Group Homes Grant Project Proposal: Methodology and Evaluation Plans

Methodology Plans

The research design of the project will be devised to be objective. The importance of being objective in this case is that it will help bring about a clear focus on what is important. This will prevent the management team from wasting the project time and financial resources on irrelevant things.(PROVIDE ACADEMIC SUPPORT FOR THIS) A clear focus will translate to clear decision making. This will make implementation of such decisions easier. What usually happens is that project managers find it difficult to implement ambiguous projects. This is due to lack of understanding (Kelvin, 2015).

The human subjects (HAS TO BE MORE SPACIFIC THEAN HUMAN SUBJECTS) that will be used as sample will be asked to be honest and straightforward to minimize error. One way that will be used to persuade the participants to be honest and straight forward is assuring them that their identity will be anonymized. Most participants fear giving honest information due to the thinking that the information might be used against them. Based on this kind of thinking, they provide fake information so that if it is used against them, they will not be adversely affected. The importance of correct information in this case is that it will prevent wrong conclusions (Lamarck, 2014).

Study validity will be increased through controlling more variables while study reliability will be achieved through several repetitions of the tests. During the control, different variables will be brought in to help establish whether they are producing the same result.(EXPLAIN SPECIFICALLY WHAT YOU MEAN) If it will be determined that the different variables are bringing the same result, it will be concluded that the results that were obtained are reliable. After conducting the first test, other tests will follow to help determine whether the results that were obtained in the first test are valid. What this means is that if the subsequent results will show congruency, the initial results will be taken as valid (Kelvin, 2015).

A few of the research assumptions include the fact that the adolescents that will be helped are those in residential placements and also the fact that the children that will be helped are those stepping down to a lower level of care from a residential setting. What this means is that these are the type of individuals that the group home will consider first when it comes to admission. Some of the limitations that are associated with this research include the reality that the group home will prevent children from getting parental care and also the truth that the group home will contribute to separation of many families (Lamarck, 2014). (PLACEING A CITATION AT THE ENDOF A PARAGRAPH DOES NOT COVER ALL THE INFORMATION)

The management of the project will delegate duties and also provide necessary resources. One of the likely advantages as a result of delegating duties is that it will make the project employees to trust the management. In any case the project will face difficulties, the project employees will trust the management that it will be able to solve the challenges that they are facing. To put it in another way, the trust that the project employees will be having on the management team will act as a source of hope during difficult times (Kelvin, 2015).

Evaluation Plans

The project success will be measured through assessing it to establish whether it has achieved all the goals and objectives on the right time. The main reason why time will be an important thing to consider is that the goals and objectives could be achieved past the time that was stipulated. In any case this will be the case; (SUPPORT INFORMATION LIKE THIS THROUGH OUT YOUR PAPER. YOU MAYBE RIGHT, BUT USE SCHOLARLY SORCES FOR CREDIABILITY) it will mean that the management of the project wasted a lot of its time on irrelevant activities making the project to delay meeting the deadlines that were set. If it will be determined that some goals and objectives have not been achieved, the project will be considered as a fail (Noah, 2017).

Additionally, project success will be measured through assessing it establish whether it satisfied the stakeholders. Examples of stakeholders that will be interrogated to determine whether they are satisfied are the family members or even guardians of the children and adolescents that will be admitted to the facility and investors. If the family members or guardians will say that they are satisfied, it will be concluded that the project has achieved success. Investors will be asked to give their opinion on how they have seen their investment. In any case most investors will say that it was worth investing their money, it will be concluded that the project has achieved success (Daniel, 2014).

Data concerning the progress of the project will be collected through interviews. What will happen in this case is that interviewees will be interrogated face to face concerning their experience at the group homes. This will especially apply to those adolescents that will have satisfied the management that they are good to be released into the society. The group home will not release any individual when he or she is still not able to be independent. This is because the individual will go back to experience the same suffering that he or she was going through. The group home will have wasted its time (Noah, 2017).

Other than interviews, the other method that will be used to obtain data concerning the progress will be questionnaires. In this method, respondents will be issued with printed questions and then asked to answer all the questions. Enough space will be left for the respondent to provide their answers to the questions that will be asked. Upon completion of the exercise, the questionnaires will be collected and then the information provided analyzed. After conducting a thorough analysis, conclusions will be made. The importance of these conclusions is that they will provide a basis for making future decisions (Daniel, 2014).

COMMENTS FROM THE TEACHER

Make sure you have included and supported academically how success will be measured.

Your writing would be more persuasive to funders if you used course materials and other scholarly literature to support more of your work.

I am including these resources for APA writing on papers this week:

Refer to the APA Publication Manual, 6th edition for help with APA format.

Purdue OWL is also resource for APA writing. This is resource of Purdue University that is shared publicly. The web address is: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/

The Walden writing center is also an excellent resource.
