Managerial accounting is the practice of internal evaluation of an organization and includes budgeting and resource allocation for the future and evaluates these areas over time to control quality and improve feedback. Managerial accounting is relevant to any business majors who want to work in any sort of accounting or financial position, and branches out to any departments that utilize a budget and strategic planning (so...every department).
I think this course will be very useful in my studies and future career, as all the other accounting courses I've taken have been focused on financial accounting. In the future, I would like to work in external relations and potentially patient experience, both of which will be subject to budgeting and event planning. While this is the area I'd like to end up in, I am interested in many aspects of the healthcare field as it relates to accounting and finance, so gaining experience in managerial accounting will be helpful regardless of where my degrees take me.
