Your task You are required to record a 10-minute video supported by a PowerPoint slide deck in which you are to analyse the case study below and provide recommendations. Assessment Description The purpose of this assessment is to develop students’ skills to critically analyse the process of entry and operations in the international market and to create and evaluate corporate strategies for the business through the lenses of globalisation and ethical decision making. Assessment Instructions Biosota Organics Pty Ltd is an Australian honey production firm based in Mount Kuring-gai in Sydney (https://biosota.com.au/). The firm produces organic honey for both domestic use and export. This assignment requires you to read about the firm using its websites and other news sources and also read about the honey industry and Australian honey exports. Based on your research, you are required to develop an international risk assessment for the firm relating to the export of its products. You need to identify risks for a specific country or region. You then will have to prepare a PowerPoint Presentation Video based on your analysis and recommendations. The presentation on the international risk assessment must include:

1. Risks to Biosata of exporting its honey ( needs to be specific). 2. Levels of risks (using high, medium or low risk ratings). 3. The impact of environmental factors in Australia and the destination country on Biosota’s

business with special consideration given to COVID19 pandemic, and its relationship on other environmental factors such as changes in government policies, political agendas and actions, national and global economic condition, technological drift and rest of the PESTEL factors and its impact.

4. Recommend mitigation methods for each risk. 5. Conclusion on the feasibility of the export decision based on the balance between the risks and

the rewards or any other alternatives.

Due to the nature of the assessment, there is no word limit. You should, however, adhere to the stipulated number of slides (15 slides, plus or minus 10%, not including cover sheet and reference slides). The slides can contain diagrams of your creation if you wish to include them, but cannot link to any videos or external content. The slides need to be formatted professionally. Refer to the marking criteria in the rubric for further details. The slide deck should be based a minimum of 10 references, of which at least 5 should be academic references (such as journals or books). Non-academic sources could include corporate websites, government publications, industry reports, census data, or newspaper articles. In referencing sources, you must use Kaplan Harvard Referencing Style to your in-text citations and your reference list.

Assessment Submission You are required to do this assessment in a video recording format as well as a 15 PowerPoint slides (not including cover sheet and references), converted to PDF and uploaded to the assignment submission link. If you are unsure, please see the attached PDF called “How to save your PPT to PDF with notes” in your assessment table under assessment 3 instructions. For those students who have limited experience with video assessments, it is recommended to read video FAQs document that is available to you under the assessments tab in MyKBS. Late assignment submission penalties Penalties will be imposed on late assignment submissions in accordance with Kaplan Business School “late assignment submission penalties” policy.
