Purpose:
The Executive Summary is compiled to analyze the results of an employee survey and
determine how to best utilize the responses. In return, the goals are to work towards reducing
and/or preventing burnout experienced by the employees. The pool of employees that
contributed feedback ranged in ages from 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+, both female and male
genders participated, employment longevity was recorded as having less than 1 year, 1 year but
less than 2 years, 2-5 years, 5+ years, the levels of leadership ranged from individual contributor,
manager, director, and executive. For each question there was also the option to “opt-out” as
answer choice if the participant wasn’t comfortable providing a response. Results showed that 61
females and 49 males answered the survey. Additionally, 7 employees chose to not disclose their
gender. The majority of responses at the leadership level was the “manager”, and the collective
majority age range was 40-49.
Results:
1. Which gender is experiencing the burnout level “Pretty wiped out almost every
day” most? The results of the Employee Survey demonstrated that those identifying as
female are experiencing burnout the most with “Pretty wiped out almost every day” as
the highest option recorded. Twenty-one females vs. six males responded with this
answer in the survey. Females as the majority are facing burnout at a much higher rate
with all the options given.

2. Which male age group is experiencing the stress level, “A little stress that would be
expected with the ups and downs of life” at home the most? The male age group of
50+ is experiencing the stress level, “A little stress that would be expected with the ups
and downs of life” at home the most. It appears that males in this age bracket are feeling
an average stress level, and fortunately not many are feeling overly stressed.

3. Which leadership level strongly agrees with the fact that they love what they do?
Survey results concluded that the level that strongly agreed with the fact that they love
what they do the most is at manager stage. Those that are working in this capacity
reported satisfaction far greater than those in corresponding positions of leadership.

4. Which gender with a tenure of 5+ years had the lowest number of responses for the
burnout level “I feel great! Energy to spare!”? The female gender with a tenure of 5+
years had the lowest number of responses in comparison to the males with the same
attribution. It was not a significant difference, but enough to highlight the difference.

Recommendations:
First, a concern of mine would be why the scores showed that the manager level was far
more satisfied with their working environment than all others. Asking more probing or direct
questions as to how or what makes this a fulfilling position for employees may be warranted.
Perhaps diving deeper with questions regarding pay scales, or the types of responsibility under
their job description, or even what or how many hours spent at the workplace may provide a
bigger picture and relevant insight. Whatever the response renders, knowledge like this could
help facilitate changes across all levels of employment and be utilized to boost morale at other
leadership levels.
I would recommend providing a list of resources both internally and externally for
employees to utilize while on the job or during personal time help with the reduction of stress.
Suggestions to take under consideration are flexible business hours, confidential employee
assistance programs for counseling that could be open to employees and their families, hosting
team building events at the office to build up morale and comradery. Many exercises are viable
option that could assist with reducing stress levels of employees. However, overall morale, is a
big one to address and it should be done in a timely manner. Overall, any changes implemented
for the betterment of the people will benefit the company as employees that are happier are far
more productive.
