Complete POV papers on topics as assigned by your professor (or suggested by you). Use current research/journal articles – 2008 to present (do not use editorials, book reviews, op/ed responses, or abstracts), your textbook, and other scholarly resources.
Additional Instructions:
Essentially the Point of View paper is a two to three paged mini-paper that allows you the student and writer to become better acquainted with research supporting teaching strategies in math education. The paper begins with a paragraph or two briefly describing the issue/strategy/method and sharing both the pros and cons of said issue. Then, the write share’s her/his personal point of view on the topic SUPPORTED by current research. Finally the writer makes any recommendations for implementing their ideas into science education. Remember to include your references using APA.
