ABOUT US
NO NAP Nig. Ltd, is a company whose sole aim among other things is to contribute to reducing road crashes on our roads through the sales and marketing of NO NAP Anti Drowsy Alert Device Brand, Vehicle Speed Limiters, Mobile Security, as well as organize Training, Seminars and workshops on Road Safety for drivers, in conjunction with other stake holders in the Road safety industry such as the FRSC, LASTMA, Nigerian Army Ordinance Corps ( Transport Division), Nigerian Motor Institute, just to mention a few. Our Workshop/Seminars is aimed at achieving the dissemination of Road Safety tips to the driving public, pedestrians and other road users ,with a view of reducing the carnage on our roads. When we have safer roads, we enjoy fuller lives.
The promoters of the company observed with deep concern the alarming results of various surveys carried out by both the FRSC ( Federal Road Safety Corps ) and RAPSON ( Risk and Accident Prevention Society Of Nigeria) that revealed that a lot of Nigerian Citizens are being killed in road crashes, while another huge number of them remain injured or permanently incapacitated as a result of same. It has been observed that 90% of road crashes occur on our highways, and sleep is the major cause. This figure has fearfully increased over recent years. More than 11,800 road traffic casualties were reported in Nigeria during the fourth quarter of 2021. Of those, around 10.2 thousand were injuries, while 1.7 thousand were registered deaths. In the previous quarter, approximately 8.8 thousand injuries and 1.4 thousand deaths, both resulting from road traffic crashes, were counted in the country. According to the source, most road accidents occurring in Nigeria are classified as serious.
NO NAP
-About NO NAP
The NO NAP Advantage:-
No Nap is an anti-drowsy alert safety device, which helps a fatigued driver to overcome the dizzy feeling. No Nap is found to be very effective in breaking this thin sheet of drowsiness in which the driver is caught unawares and helps to recover his presence of mind and concentration. Survey on highway accidents has revealed that accidents on our highways occur due to driver being subjected to long hours of continuous driving. This exhausting and monotonous job often makes the driver dull and drowsy. This state of the driver is very dangerous and often times leads to fatal accidents. NO NAP is the antidote to such problems. This device is also useful to Security Personnel’s as well who are out on the watch for long period of time.

-How NO NAP Helps
· NO NAP responds to the state of the driver well and increases safety of both the driver and the vehicle. Majority of all accidents occur due to driver error and driver fatigue, which is the major issue. NO NAP is worn on the left ear. If the drivers head goes down, either due to tiredness, sleep or distraction, the system detects it and provides a warning “BEEP” to alert the driver and bring him to his presence of mind. This eliminates the possibility of driving while fatigued as it will keep on beeping until the drivers head is returned to the appropriate position. When fatigue is acknowledged, it is recommended to clear very well off the road, and take a short power nap before carrying on the journey. More than a million people world wide die in accidents each year and an equal number are critically injured as a result of fatigued drivers dozing off at the wheel.
NO NAP FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions :-
What is the retail price of NO NAP? The No Nap Kit retails for N3,000.00 per unit. How quickly can you send No Nap devices to International customers? No Nap can be sent via express courier EMS post within 2 days of receiving payments. The delivery time is usually 4 – 6 days to reach you by express courier. What is the mode of payment? The mode of payment is by bank wire, or payment at the bank into our account, or payment at our office where a receipt will be issued for local customers. For International Customers, it is by bank wire into our Domiciliary Account or payment by Money Gram or Western Union Money Transfer. Can you provide details to whom and where I can transfer payment? Usually when customers choose to pay by bank wire, Money Gram or Western Union, they will have to wait for our reply email to be sent. We prefer to reply emails in person rather than automatically generated responders. In our reply mail, we will outline the receiving coordinates . What is the difference between Standard and Express Shipping for International customers? Express courier post (EMS) means shipment will be expedited at a higher cost, and it will take a shorter time to receive the NO NAP at your destination. Standard shipment is the normal courier and would not take less than 14 days to reach customers. Some destination could even take longer. Frankly speaking, if someone is prepared to wait at least 2 weeks for their order to arrive then the best choice is Standard shipment. Throughout our experience there was not a single time that our parcels went missing only delayed by 1 week (for Standard). If customers want the products in fastest possible way then it is best to choose Express because it can be traced and will reach within 1 week max. (4-6days actual). Please could you outline the expected product life under normal conditions? Guarantee and Repair? The No Nap device comes with 1 year warranty from date of purchase (prove of receipt). No Nap will not deteriorate in quality of product provided proper care is exercised by the user as per direction of usage. In the event of any deterioration in quality of the products, an investigation will be carried out by us on receiving full details in the format prescribed by the us under Returns and Refunds Procedure and if it is established that the deterioration has taken place due to manufacturing mistake, we shall replace free of cost the quantity of such defective goods. Does the product require a battery and if so is it readily available? Yes the No Nap comes with batteries. The shelf lives of the batteries are 1 year and 90% of capacity will be maintained after 12 months storage. Each battery is 1.5volts so the No Nap runs on total 3Volts 2x 1.5v Button cell Batteries. It can be easily found any where ie under Energiser batteries spec look for LR44 model. My No Nap does not beep loud enough why is this so.? The most obvious cause is that the batteries have become weak, please follow the instruction below to change the battery.
· On the reverse side of the No Nap is a small battery cover.
· Open the cover.
· Tilt the unit upside down and to allow the weak batteries to fall out.
· Insert the new LR44 Button cell batteries with the smooth surface of the batteries facing up one on top of the other.
· Place the battery cover back on and lock it.
The unit has to be adjusted manually by tilting it forward around the ear for more sensitivity and vise-versa for less sensitivity. It is important that drivers know this functionality to make full use of the No Nap’s potential. Will the No Nap hinder other activities like adjusting the Radio and drinking etc ? NO. The No Nap is designed to alert the driver if his head is nodding downwards in drowsiness. It is impossible for a driver to suddenly fall asleep while adjusting the radio or drinking (coffee and other non-alcohol drinks) while driving, so when the driver is doing something while driving he does not need the No Nap to track the motion of his head hence the driver can choose to adjust the No Nap’s sensitivity by adjusting to a less sensitive angle or totally switch it off. One of the many good uses of No Nap is that it breaks the layers of drowsiness by getting the drivers attention when driver first tries to do something while driving. That indirectly alerts the driver that he is doing something unsafe and should focus on the road rather then off the road. At this point the driver gets more alert then he would be if there was nothing to get his attention in the first place. However, it is advised not to drink anything while driving as that too is a distraction. Won't this unit actually give drivers false confidence or security and encourage them to drive when tired? Unfortunately many drivers are already driving with a false sense of confidence and security when they drive when tired. Research has shown that whilst drivers are aware of feelings of tiredness long before their head nods, many do not take a break or take the effects of tiredness into account when planning their journey. This problem is one of Culture and education similar to drink driving and will likely take decades to address. The purpose of the Antidote as a tiredness awareness device is two fold:
· To act as a visual reminder of the driver tiredness issue;
· To act as an added precaution for drivers.
NOTE:The device is not a cure for drowsiness.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE OR GROUP OF CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY ONE ATTEMPT TO DRIVE AN AUTO MOBILE IF TIRED’ REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THEY HAVE THIS DEVICE OR NOT. IF A DRIVER KNOWS HE IS TIRED AND IS FEELING SLEEPY, PLEASE IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU PARK AND SLEEP FOR A WHILE BEFORE EMBARKING ON THE JOURNEY. THAT WAY, HE WILL MAKE THE ROAD SAFER FOR HIMSELF AND OTHER ROAD USERS. WHEN WE HAVE SAFER ROADS, WE HAVE FULLER LIVES.

10 TIPS FOR NIGHT DRIVING
In as much as the NO NAP Anti Drowsy Alert System is a good product, it must be emphasized here that it is not the only therapy to fatigued driving. Fatigued driving should be avoided as much as possible. Traffic death rates are three times greater at night than during the day, yet many, especially luxury bus drivers are unaware of night driving special hazards or don’t know effective ways to deal with them. It is on record at the FRSC that 75% of all night accidents are caused by sleep. So in this web page, we are going to highlight on 10 tips of night driving. Driving at night is more dangerous than during the day. One of the obvious reasons is darkness. 90 percent of driver’s reaction depends on vision, and vision is severely limited at night. Depth perception, color recognition and peripheral vision are compromised after sundown. Fatigue also adds to the danger of night driving. Drowsiness makes driving more difficult by dulling concentration and slowing reaction time. Also, alcohol is the single most significant factor in fatal traffic crashes, playing a part in more than half of all motor vehicle – related deaths. That makes weekend nights more dangerous. More fatal crashes take place on Friday and Saturday than at any other time in the week. Effective measures to minimize these after – dark dangers can be taken by preparing your car and following special guidelines while you drive:
· Prepare your car for night driving
· Clean headlights, taillights, signal light and windows once a week, more often if necessary.
· Aim your headlights properly. Misaimed headlights blind other drivers and reduce your ability to see the road.
1. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE:
Not only does alcohol severely impair your driving ability, but it also acts as a depressant. Just one drink can induce fatigue. Avoid smoking when you drive. Smoke’s nicotine and carbon monoxide hamper night vision. Turn your headlight on if there are any doubts. Lights will help you see better in early twilight, but they’ll make easier for other drivers to see you. Being seen is as important as you seeing. Reducing your speed and increase your following distances. It is more difficult to judge other vehicle’s speeds and distances at night. Don’t overdrive your headlights. You should be able to stop inside the illuminated area. If you’re not, you are creating a blind crash area in front of your vehicle. Keep your headlights on low beams when following another vehicle so you don’t blind the driver ahead of you. If an oncoming vehicle doesn’t lower beams from high to low, avoid glare by watching the right edge of the road and using it as a steering guide. If you have car trouble, pull off the road as far as possible. Warn approaching traffic at once by setting up flares or reflecting triangles near your vehicle and 300 feet behind it. Turn on flashes and the dome light.
2. OBSERVE NIGHT DRIVING SAFETY AS SOON AS THE SUN GOES DOWN:
Your eyes are adapting to the constant change in amount of light put on your driving light. Twilight is one of the most difficult time to drive.
3. HAVE A CLEAR HEAD:
Make sure you always have a clear head before deciding to operate a motor vehicle. Alcohol and certain drugs, both illegal and legal, can severally impair you driving skills. Many prescription and over – the count medications can cause dangerous drowsiness. Get a good night’s rest and don’t drive for long stretches without a break. If you are tired, don’t risk the safety of yourself and others on the highway by trying to drive. Designate a driver or choose another means of transportation such a taxicab or public transport.
4. LIMIT DRIVING ALONE WHEN TIRED:
Driving with someone else in your vehicle, can increase your overall alertness. It is well recognized that when driving deprived and at night, your chances of a crash are dramatically increased.
5. READ THE LABELS:
If you are taking any medications, be sure to read and obey the warning labels. If the label says the medication cause drowsiness, do not drive . Heed to the warning as it is there for a reason. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you have any.
6. PLAN AHEAD:
Allow yourself plenty of extra time to reach your destination and allow for emergencies or traffic jams. In today’s busy world, most of us are in a hurry to get where we are going. By allowing extra time we can be more relaxed when operating our vehicles and thereby cut down on the incidences of road rage, such as excessive speeding, tailgating and weaving in and out between cars.
7. RELAX:
Avoid aggressive driving by relaxing and having patience. By not being such in a rush to reach your destination you will be a calmer person and won’t need to speed and run red lights. A yellow light means slow down not speed up. Always stop at red light.
8. BE ALERT TO SIGNS OF FATIGUE:
If you start to feel tired when driving pull over in a safe area and let someone else drive. If you are alone, pull into a safe location such as a well – lit rest stop and take short nap or get out of the car and walk around for a few minutes. Stop as often as necessary. When traveling on long trips, eat light food. Large, heavy meals can make you drowsy.
9. PRACTICE COMMON SENSE SAFETY RULES:
Always wear your safety belt and make sure all your passengers are buckled properly, even on short trips. If traveling with children, educate yourself on the many kinds of child safety seats and restraints. Choose which system is best for your child and always follow the direction. Make sure children ages 12 and under are always buckled up in the back seat, the safest place to ride.
10. KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD:
Avoid taking your eyes off the road by eliminating any possible distractions ahead of time. Before setting out to drive, be sure that important items are within easy reach, i.e. directions and maps, sunglasses etc. reduce to minimum possibly dangerous diversions of your attention from the task of safe driving, such as changing tapes or compact discs and always pull over at a safe place to use your cellular telephone.

· Speeding and power-interrupt information
The data logger instantly logs on any situation where the vehicle reaches its pre-determined speed limit, when its battery has been disconnected or when the power to the speed limiter/data logger has been tampered with.
This data is accessible via the USB interface to any USB-enabled device, and does not include the instantly-recorded speed data that is available via the digital printer.
Device Security
The Speed Limiters have fail safe mechanisms that prevent tampering. Any attempts to tamper with these devices is recorded in realtime and results in the vehicle shutting down, stopping further use.
Speed Warnings
Our units are equipped with an audible buzzer that warns the driver to slow down once the vehicle is within 2% of the programmed speed limit. They also have LED indicators on the front panel that visibly display a speed warning.
